Veneers & Hollywood Smile in Tripoli, Lebanon
The "Hollywood smile" is one of the most requested treatments in Lebanon — and one of the easiest to get wrong. Done well, a set of veneers doesn't announce itself: people simply see a brighter, healthier version of your own smile. Dr. Barake plans every case tooth by tooth, matching shade, shape and translucency to your face, and will tell you honestly when a smaller treatment would serve you better.

What a veneer is
A veneer is a thin, custom-made shell — porcelain, zirconia-backed ceramic or composite — bonded to the front surface of a tooth to improve its colour, shape or alignment. One or two veneers can fix a chipped or discoloured front tooth; a full set across the visible teeth is what's popularly called a Hollywood smile.
Porcelain and zirconia veneers are made in a dental laboratory for strength and a lifelike finish; composite veneers are sculpted directly onto the tooth in one visit and are easier to repair, at the cost of some durability and lustre.
A Hollywood smile, done honestly
The over-white, over-uniform look is easy to sell and hard to live with. The clinic's approach is restraint: a shade that flatters your skin tone, natural proportions, and edges with the slight translucency of real enamel. The goal is a smile that looks like you — after a very good holiday.
Just as important is what we don't do: healthy enamel is preserved wherever possible, and if whitening plus one or two veneers would achieve what you want, Dr. Barake will say so before you commit to a full set.
What to expect
It starts with a consultation and smile analysis — photos, shade assessment and a discussion of what you'd like to change. Any decay, gum issues or staining are handled first, since veneers belong on healthy teeth. For lab-made veneers, teeth are prepared conservatively, a precise impression is taken, and temporary veneers protect the teeth while the lab crafts the final set. At the fit appointment each veneer is checked against your bite and smile before being permanently bonded.
Veneers, crowns or whitening?
Whitening changes colour only — the right choice when shape and alignment are already good. Veneers change colour and shape but need sound underlying teeth. A zirconia or porcelain crown wraps the whole tooth and is the better answer for teeth that are heavily filled or weakened. The honest recommendation depends on your teeth, not on the most expensive option.
What affects the cost
Every case is different, so the clinic gives you a clear, itemised price before any treatment begins. These are the main things that influence it:
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of teeth | A single veneer is priced very differently from a full Hollywood smile of 8–20 teeth. |
| Material | Lab-made porcelain or zirconia costs more than direct composite veneers. |
| Lab work | The quality of the dental lab and the ceramics used affects the fee. |
| Preparation | Whitening, gum care or small orthodontic fixes may be advised first. |
